Casting Family for National TV Spot
Posted by Calls & Castings in Baltimore Casting Calls, DC Casting Calls, SAG Castings on September 29th, 2009
Carlyn Davis Casting is seeking talent to play a Caucasian family of 4 for a National SAG Cable TV Spot.
The family: Real, warm, regular people.
Dad: age range 38-48. Nice looking professional man. Slightly overweight ok. Neither the comedic stereotype (potbellied suburban dad tripping over lawnmower) nor the executive one (perfect hair, chiseled jaw.) A guy with some character who’s normally smart and hard-working and intent… but tonight he’s moved to let loose. Think Jimmy Stewart’s grandson, Tim Robbin’s little brother. Movement and dance skills look amateurish but are not comedic or unduly awkward. Read the rest of this entry »

Looking for teen model to appear on Film Poste
Posted by Calls & Castings in Kids Auditions on September 25th, 2009
Looking for teen model to appear on Film Poster.
I am the producer/director of a PBS documentary entitled GIRLS ON THE WALL. The film is on its way to festivals, and I’m trying to put together a poster. Unfortunately, all the stills that were taken during the actual doc shoot are too low-resolution to use in the poster. So, essentially I need a stand in to appear on the poster. The film is about a musical that takes place in a detention center for teenage girls, so we need a kid between 14 and 20 who looks like a teenager. Any race or body type is fine– definitely not looking for a polished or glamorous look, obviously. The girl will essentially appear anonymous on poster. Read the rest of this entry »
