Casting Call – MTV is Casting Soulja Boy’s Number One Fan
Posted by Calls & Castings in Reality TV Casting Calls, Reality TV Castings on June 28th, 2010
You think you know everything there is to know about Soulja Boy? Do you have an interesting personal story about how his music affects you, or how it may have even changed your life. Did some drama go down and the only thing that got you out of it was to toss on some headphones and blast Yahhh! Trick YAHHH!!! Do you have some Yums on right now? You ever got your Halo on just to see if you could spot his Gamertag? Oh whatever you know what I’m talking about.
MTV is casting a show on superfans and you could be on TV telling your story and showing all your fan swag off to the masses! If you think your Mr. Tell’Em’s biggest fan, like you know every move in every dance from the Crank Dat to the Bird Walk and back again and you’ve been dying to show ‘em off or talk someone’s ear off about DeAndre Cortez Way besides on blogs boards and tweets. Then send us an email to:FANSHOW@mtv.com telling us where you’re from, a little about yourself and how SB has affected your life. Please also include the following details: include your name, location, phone number, story, and photograph!
If you can, make us a video of memorabilia and stuff you have that shows off how big a fan you are? You could shoot your bedroom if you have posters up or web sites you go on or things you have like tickets and photos and talk about them and what they mean to you. It would also be great if you could take some time to talk directly to the camera and tell us some of the same stories and why you love SB so much. It doesn’t have to be fancy, no music or anything and doesn’t matter if its only 5 minutes. We just want to get to know you better and get a visual understanding of your connection to Soulja. Don’t be afraid to say whatever you want on the video!!! Any story you think would be helpful on how SB and his music has affected you would be a huge help for us to see who the real fans are! (Oh and it’s Soulja Boy so: SHOW US YR DANCEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!)
There are a bunch of ways to upload and send Your Video to us. You should submit your video electronically via email, yousendit.com, yourfilelink.com or mediafire.com. I’d also accept a private posting on youtube.com (just email me your user name and the password so I can download the video).
*** Preferred formats: Quicktime (.mov), Mpeg-4 Video (.m4v), or Windows Media Audio/Visual File (.wmv). [Note: I'm unable to view Windows Movie Maker Project (.mswmm) or Video Clips (.avi).]

Jingle Contest Announced – $5,000 in prizes
Bedford, New Hampshire – Great New Hampshire Restaurants, parent company of T-BONES Great American Eatery has announced a jingle contest which will award 5, $1000 prizes. Their “Made-From-Scratch”Jingle Contest” allows anyone to enter in one of four categories: Hip-Hop, Rock, Country, and Pop. There will be one winner in each of the categories and each winner will receive a $1000 cash prize. Entries will be submitted through the T-BONES website: www.T-BONES.com which provides all the rules and guidelines for entries. Participants can enter either a video or audio version of their jingle creation. All are invited to visit the website to view, listen, and vote for their favorite. The People’s Choice winner will receive a $1000 cash prize. Entries will be accepted starting Monday, May 3, 2010 and must be submitted by Sunday, June 27, 2010. Voting for the People’s Choice winner will start on Monday, June 28, 2010 and end on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Winners will be announced on Saturday, August 6, 2010.
While T-BONES already has a very recognizable jingle that has been heard on just about every radio station in New Hampshire, as well as television, websites and even during Fisher Cat promotions, the time was right for this fun “open-call” to all the creative talent that exists. With the trend of the top reality television shows focusing on the musical talent of “unknowns” all over the country, such as American Idol, and America’s Got Talent, and the staggering number of listeners/viewers that get involved by voting for their favorite talent, Tom Boucher, owner and CEO of the popular T-BONES and Cactus Jack’s loved the idea of reaching out to the community in this manner, “We constantly hear such great feedback from our customers about why they love our restaurants, that we thought this would be a great way to let them express their feelings about us in this unique and fun way.”
The current jingle can be heard on the website along with complete rules and guidelines for jingle entries which cannot exceed sixty seconds in length. Since Boucher feels that his restaurant’s key to success is their ability to provide a huge made-from-scratch menu, the jingle entries must include these words: T-BONES…come on in, your table’s waiting. We’re serving up a taste, of whatever you’re craving. T-BONES, always made from scratch.
For more information on the “Made-From-Scratch” Jingle Contest, visit www.T-BONES.com.
