Michigan casting call for 2 teenage girls for main roles in the film “Maggie and Sylvia”
“Maggie and Sylvia” chronicles the adventures of two teenage girls in the thick of high school who, plagued by the simplicity of the suburbs and by their parents, resolve to run away from home. We are casting for the two lead roles of Maggie and Sylvia.
Roles:
MAGGIE (15) is messy and sort of thoughtless, but she is a good and devoted friend to Sylvia. She is easy going, caring, and patient, though she soon finds herself confronting the situation before her with strength.
SYLVIA (16) is precocious, smart, and – though her intentions are pure – somewhat selfish. She is a born leader and is wise beyond her years, so she thinks. She, too, is a good friend to Maggie, though her choices are impulsive and not always well thought out.
Casting Info
For both characters we will be considering females ages 14-23. Previous acting experience is not required, but know that this character story is dialogue-driven at times; so it is important to feel comfortable with speaking parts of this kind.
We will begin shooting in mid to late June in Detroit and the Metro Detroit area for approximately 3 days.
