Al: African American, early 30s. Gentle, warm and compassionate. Able to speak and communicate directly to an audience clearly, effortlessly, and naturally. A “slam poet” and thus, needs to speak and move in a more heightened style. Plays many characters, young and old, male and female, so versatility is essential. A deep soulful, complex man.
