New York, NY, Jan. 28, 2010 – (I.M.G.) – PNC Radio, one of the premier media brands and online radio stations for urban culture, in partnership with BringIt.com and Wax Poetics Magazine, will host a two week long DJ Hero Tournament commencing on Monday, Feb. 22.
Tryouts begin Saturday, February 6 and will be held at the spacious, state-of-the-art multi-media facility, PNC Studios, located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, NYC. Ending, Feb. 20, 64 contestants will be chosen to compete in the actual tournament. Four contestants will compete head-to-head each day, 7 days a week. There will be a 3 point scoring system; highest game score, number of votes online, and the creativity of their set, which will be determined and judged by PNC Radio Dj’s. The tournament will also be broadcasting live, everyday, on PNCRadio.fm. Contestants must be 21 and older to enter.
The competition ends with a grand finale event where the final four contestants will battle for: (1) $1,000 Cash, (2) a 1-year subscription to Wax Poetics Magazine, (3) the chance to be a guest DJ on the PNC Radio show if their choice, and of course the title of PNC Radio’s DJ Hero Champion. The first-runner-up will win 500 BringIt.com Bucks. There will also be consolation prizes for the other contestants as well as special giveaways.
