Survivor Tryouts – What to expect
Casting calls for large reality series like American Idol and Survivor seem to bring out everyone, their mother, sister, brother, cousin and 5th cousin twice removed. Want to know what to expect? Here is a great post I found by someone who attended a Survivor audition in a small city. The city was Terrel Texas… I’ve never heard of it either. Seriously, looks like the entire town showed up for the open call. Check out the survivor experience of 1 man here.
Here is what Lynn Spillman, “Survivor” casting director, said about getting picked at the Survivor tryouts and how to stand out from the giant crowd.
“Don’t just say, ‘I’m competitive,’ … or ‘I’m athletic,’” Spillman said. “Give me your great Wall Street work story … or give me a good sports story.
“After all these years, the videos seem redundant. It’s really important to have fun and be yourself. When we say that, we really mean it. It’s fun when someone shows up in a loincloth to audition, but that alone won’t get you on the show. It’s a social game … you have to really be a talker.”
Survivor has been a hit show for a few years now, and seems to still be going strong. The latest info about Survivor Casting calls
