WHO: You and whoever you want to invite. (No dance experience needed)
WHAT: Flash mob for marriage proposal
WHERE: Pasadena Old Town
WHEN: October 22, 2011 @ 4pm. (next Saturday)
HOW: Come to the practices which are @ Pasadena City College, learn from videos that we post online from our practices, or we can arrange another time/place
WHY: Yes people have done flash mobs. Yes people have done flash mob marriage proposal. SO WHY? the video, concept, and routine/acts that are involved will stand out.
Come check us out. Easy to learn routine (non-dancer friend learned in an hour) with additional routines (harder) that are optional.

Casting for musical theater – Looking for actors and performers for a musical. The Long Beach Opera is producing “The Good Soldier Schweik“. Choreographer Ken Roht is seeking 3 male actors / dancers for the production.
Performances are Jan 23 and 30th and Rehearsals will be mostly afternoon and evenings in January.
Looking for versatile movers with experience picking up choreography and staging quickly. Clowning and gymnastics a plus, but not necessary. These actors will play soldiers, and be the “greek chorus” of the piece. Read the rest of this entry »

UTAH: 18-23,Caucasian. Vocal range –Baritone. A young draftee from the country whose belief in everything is sincere. Would cover Bill (straight forward, all American football player. The romantic lead, right out of high school, king of the prom).
DONNA: 18-23,Caucasian. Vocal range –Mezzo. A waitress who gives up her job to work in a defense plant. Will cover June.
JUNE: 18-20, Caucasian. Vocal range –Mezzo. Bill’s girl, America’s ingenue.
MOTHER: 50’s, Caucasian. Archetypal 40‘s Mom. The War has brought a new blush to her cheek. She is involved. She is Concerned. She is knitting what turns out to be the longest scarf in history.

Bobo’s is a new Urban R&B-Pop Opera (Played a successful off-broadway engagement, produced by AMAS).
Described as ‘the future of musical theatre’ by Quincy Jones. The sung-through urban opera, with music by Grammy Award winning composer and novelist James McBride (Color of Water) set a box office record then went on to win the Richard Rodgers Award and the Stephen Sondheim Award.
The 2009-2010 production is seeking male&female Triple Threat Performers ( Must Sing, Act & Dance).
