Audition call-backs will be held on February 20 from Noon to 4PM at a location to be announced.
The creative team of STC’s HAIR is looking for a culturally diverse group of people to breathe life into this powerful production. They are searching not just for actors, singers and dancers but for theatre artists interested in forming a tribe of fun loving, passionate rebels who have an undying need to sing, dance and live life to its fullest. Auditioning actors are asked to prepare 32 bars of a song similar in style to HAIR. Popular rock music from the sixties is encouraged.
Please also prepare 16 bars of a ballad from standard musical theatre repertoire. Bring standard sheet music marked accordingly. An accompanist will be provided; however, if you are comfortable accompanying yourself (guitar, keyboard, etc.) we encourage you to demonstrate these skills. The directors are also looking for an actor who can play the trumpet. Monologues are not necessary. Performances will take place at the MLT Firehouse Theatre, 12 School Street in Marblehead, from June 2 through June 12.
